I’ve Got a Bone to Pick…

Or two. Or three. Heh. I liked the ‘Bone Appetit’ bracelet I made last Summer for Heifer International so much, I decided to make one for myself. I love it. I love to wear it. It’s a great way to remind myself a promise I made to my pups a few years ago shortly after they passed, and some personal goals I’ve had to help animals and ‘give back’.

The fabulous, colorful bone beads are handcrafted by glass artist, Lori Flanders – aka LORiOLA on Etsy. She has also generously gifted me some wonderful black bones that I used to make a couple of the bracelets pictured below. Wow, how sweet is that? I feel so honored and grateful! Thank you, Lori! )

If you haven’t checked out her stuff yet – GO! You will be amazed at all of her gorgeous beads and jewelry. You can also check out her website at isabelrose.com.

I just added three new bone bracelets in my Etsy shop. Please check ‘em out here, here, and here.

Two are black bone bracelets made from Lori’s fab bones; gorgeous black and white graphic beads from Canadian glass artist, glassdg; and whimsical red, white and black beads from Jocelyn Pappadakis.

The round beads are pretty special, from my personal stash that I’ve been hoarding, hoping to one day make myself something with ‘em.

Ah well, can’t sweat the small stuff. It’s time to let ‘em go so that others can appreciate them as well. It’s all good. )

The third bracelet is made of classic white bones from favorite glass artist, Janet Crosby, and fun black and white round beads by my other favorite artisan, Dawn White.

This one’s a bit more traditional in a sense and a bit fancier with the addition of some finely detailed Turkish sterling silver beads and bead caps.

One hundred percent of the proceeds from these three bracelets will go to the Humane Society, HSUS, my pet non-profit.

Enjoy the photos and thanks so much for stopping by! Until next time – take care & stay well! )
