PAWS FOR A GOOD CAUSE

In honor of my two golden retrievers, who were both shelter dogs, I started PAWS FOR A GOOD CAUSE, a series of charity auctions through eBay and Mission Fish, and Etsy.

The jewelry and accessories offered up for sale and auctioned off are made with the same high quality of materials that I use in my regular pieces, in particular, sterling silver and artisan made lampwork beads.

To make it fun for bidders, each auction listed on eBay begins with a low starting bid, well below the item’s retail value.

From it’s inception on March 2005 until December 2008, 100% of the proceeds benefitted various animal and human non-profit organizations, including the ASPCA, the HSUS, Habitat For Humanity and Heifer International.

In light of the current economic climate, beginning in February, 2009, the percentage of proceeds donated will vary from 25% – 50%.
